Week 16 - May 18, 2010

This week...

This week we are covering past tense verbs, "ED" endings, the term "ago" and count and non-count nouns. We will have our test on Thursday for the words from last week (seeing as the water fight and open day made last week short). Today we will focus on Count and Non-count nouns.

Count nouns - A count noun is a noun that can physically be counted.

6 pencils
3 cars

Non-count nouns - are nouns that cannot be counted.

Grass

Milk

Water

Week 14 - May 5, 2010

Today...

Today we learned about past tense structure. The idea that verbs change when you are talking about something that has already happened. We learned and reviewed irregular and regular verbs within sentences. We also worked on reading comprehension and vocabulary. Tomorrow we will have a vocabulary test on the 10 words that were sent home with the students on Sunday. We also need the students to bring in as much water as they can for the water fight. (The water fight is scheduled for next week if all of the classes have enough water, so BRING THE WATER!!)
